Good day friend and welcome to my blog. This is another beautiful Episode of the section of this blog, Featured Art. This episode is sort of a sequel or should I say the second part of the first episode of this section. It was titled Stars, so I guess I could call this one Stars 2, (sounds like a movie name lol) but I think you understand what I’m trying to do. The poem was written by a friend of mine, a talented young poet by the name Abdullahi Panti. I saw the first one and I was amazed and on seeing the second one, I knew it had to go on this blog. If you haven’t seen the first one, it’s the first episode of this section like I’ve said before. With that out of the way, let’s get to some poetry, Shall we?

Stars 2

We only live because we’re not brave enough to die
If I told them my stories
They’d think it was a beautiful lie
My stories,
Stories of how I fell in love with a maiden in the sky
I told my story of how she burned her brightest
She fell and she died
I was consoled by the envious maiden on earth
She was happy with the fact that the star could die
Opening her hands in embrace
But all I could was cry
I wasn’t strong enough
If only I was strong enough,
Strong enough to die
