806

806 is a Cute Story (emphasis on cute) about 3 kids on an adventure of a lifetime tho find out who they are. The main character, KT, was led to believe her father was a jerk that left before she was born. After discovering the truth she meets up with 2 other kids and finds herself in a beat up Jeep driving cross country.

The writing is good, the story is sweet and cute though highly unbelievable. It was one bad thing then the next lucky break, one after the other and that made the story more of a Fairy Tale than a relatable YA story. All wrapped up with a happily ever after ending.

If happily every after is your thing then this is definitely for you.

To quote one of my favorites lines in  Harry Potter it “has the emotional depth of a teaspoon”. Seriously even the teen angst is sappy. This book could use a spoon full of hot sauce to help of go down.

So maybe I wouldnt recommend it to avid YA booklings but may be a middle school girl or boy who likes fairy tale endings. I give it 2.5 stars.

Thank you to NetGally who provided a copy of 806 for a fair and honest review.
