He opened a new real estate office on East Quaker Street in Orchard Park in 1971 five years after opening his first one-agent office in 1966. Before opening his new office, Mr. Scheeler believed his clients needed to sign their contracts on the best quality table - out of respect for what was often the largest transaction of their lives and to emphasize the value of doing business with an established and experienced full-time real estate professional. So Phil decided to purchase a solid oak table from Aruthur's for his clients to sign their contracts on.
In the 1970s When the Bills built Rich Stadium and were in the early years of their NFL franchise, Mr. Scheeler became the real estate broker of choice for many of the Bills’ coaches, staff and players. Notable coaches and players included: Bill Saban, John DeLamielleure and John Skorupan. And all signed their contracts on the oak table.
Mr. Scheeler felt the time had come to pass on this table to a successor who has a personal connection to the team and would appreciate all the Bills history tied to it. On September 20, he passed on the table to Deacon Tasker, a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson at the HUNT Buffalo Metropolitan branch with personal ties to the Bills through his father, Steve Tasker, who played for the Bills from 1986-1997.
