Influencers Are Getting Potential Boost With Facebook Changing Its Algorithms

Facebook has changed its News Feed algorithms that sent publishers panicking.

The Social Giant has decided to favor contents from friends and families, more than posts from Pages and from businesses. While this can be a huge hit for those that rely on Facebook for leads and traffic, but the change can be a good news for Influencers and their followers.

What Facebook does, is cleaning up its already-cluttered News Feed, and potentially cut down the number of fake news. But by prioritizing user-generated contents more than brands and publishers, influencers can benefit since their posts mimics contents posted from friends and family.

Facebook has more control over influencers as it has lesser control over media partners. But this won't necessarily impact them negatively, nor their ability in reaching Facebook users using paid advertising.

Facebook said that agencies won’t see any major changes for paid promotion.

Increasing the reach of influencers is a result of Facebook in cutting down the number of posts by brands and publishers.

But this can be also a great news for Facebook which has long asked businesses to create paid strategy for influencer content.

What this means, Facebook's change in its News Feed can generate even more ad dollars, while at the same time getting praised for eliminating fake news by punishing clickbait-style languages.

With the change, Facebook can also become more popular with influencers, something that it has struggled because the social giant has never been that popular with them as Instagram or YouTube.

Because Facebook is aiming to become a platform for facilitating and rewarding meaningful connections, brands and businesses that may struggle to get organic traffic from Facebook, should at least put more creativity to their efforts.

Not only to please the algorithms' change, but to also ensure that they have a natural and authentic role in what could be the newly characterized Facebook experience. And here, the potential is high.
