The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings in November across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the Fastest Growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom state median rent was $992 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
The Most Expensive
–Atlanta, GA remained the priciest city with rent at $1,480.
–Alpharetta, GA saw rent drop $30 to $1,330 but continue to rank as the second most expensive city.
–Dunwoody, GA was third with one bedrooms priced at $1,280.
The Least Expensive
–Gainesville, GA continued to rank as the most affordable city with rent at $900.
–Norcross & Newnan, GA tied for second with prices both at $930.
–Marietta, GA rent rose $10 to $1,020 but stayed the third least expensive.
Growth Rate
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Alpharetta, GA had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 15.7%.
–Gainesville, GA rent followed closely behind as the second fastest growing, climbing 15.4%.
–Norcross, GA rent had the third largest year over year growth rate, jumping 12%.
