The Zumper Phoenix Metro Report analyzed active listings in February across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the Fastest Growing rents. The Arizona one bedroom median was $986 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
The Most Expensive
–Scottsdale, AZ rent grew $20 to $1,360 and continued to rank as the most expensive in the metro.
–Gilbert, AZ was second with one bedrooms priced at $1,130.
–Chandler & Peoria, AZ tied for third with rents both at $1,100.
The Least Expensive
–Glendale, AZ saw rent grow $20 to $790 but remained the least expensive.
–Mesa, AZ rent, though continuing to stay as the second most affordable, climbed $40 to $910 last month.
–Avondale, AZ ranked as third with one bedrooms priced at $950.
Growth Rate
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Peoria, AZ had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 15.8%.
–Glendale, AZ had the second largest year over year rental growth rate, climbing 14.5%.
–Chandler, AZ followed closely behind as third with rent growing 14.4%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Tempe, AZ rent climbed 5.2% last month, making it the fastest growing.
–Chandler, AZ was second with rent jumping 4.7% last month.
–Mesa, AZ rent was the third fastest growing, increasing 4.6%.
