Hello world, my name is Skylie. Now, I know what you’re thinking. “What is an Australian Shepherd doing in the digital marketing space?!”

Well first, I have my mom to thank for the introduction. And I am a working dog after all, so starting my career in the Digital world just felt right and exciting.

I wanted to take you all through a normal day here at Fluid because O BOY is it a blast! It involves a lot of petting, playing and napping (just don’t tell the boss man).

The first thing I do when I get to the office is walk around to welcome everyone. The people here at Fluid are really nice and get me, so I feel it’s my duty as the new member to go around and chat with them all in the morning.

After my initial hellos, it’s time to get to work. I’ve been learning a lot here at Fluid, especially from the Social and Creative team. I have started my personal Instagram and they’ve really given me some insight into growing my following, from the right hashtags, capturing my good angles and what the best posts are. These teams really know what they’re doing!

Normally after my first “work” session, I nap for a few hours. It’s really exhausting learning all these best practices (and sneaking in a few games of fetch with Allie the Alligator). I normally wake up for lunch, meetings and insightful teachings. The clients that are here at Fluid have really taken to me as well. They allow me to participate in the meetings and I just sit (sometimes lay), taking in all the useful information. Sometimes, I even get a few extra pets J.

Now, some people might say I’m more distracting than productive in the office, but we all know that isn’t true. I bring a great energy and positive attitude to the Digital team. Also, I have mastered the art of getting my way or someone to smile with my slight head tilt, playful attitude and tongue out smile.

I’m excited to see what else I’m going to learn while working here. The days my mom allows me to go to work with her are the best!! I seem to be getting off on the right foot with everyone here. So I want to thank Fluid for such a great opportunity to get out there, meet new people and dogs, and learn the ins and outs of digital marketing.
