Sister’s Day and Friendship Day are both important days of the year and they are worth setting aside for those special people in your life. For many, a Sister is also a best friend. Somebody you share the most important years of your life with and somebody who will always be there to back you up. Which is why it’s so great to plan a Friendship Day and Sister’s Day celebration all in one!

If you want to surprise your sister, you can simply invite her over to spend the day at your place or you could go out. The choice is yours and it will depend on your budget, of course. The best approach when it comes to food is to plan the menu around your shared favourites. If there are any foods that you know she loves but you don’t, you can still serve them to make her feel extra special. For example, if you are vegetarian, you could still serve meat dishes or finger foods. If there are any leftovers, she can take them home with her for later.

Another great idea is to make a reservation at your favourite restaurant or coffee shop. If it’s located in a mall, you could do some shopping first and then share a meal before heading home. If you want to make a relaxing day out of it, you could set up a spa date instead. Enjoy massages, facials, manicures, and other soothing treatments together. It’s the perfect way to unwind.

For those who live far away from their sister or sisters, it’s not impossible to spend time together. You may just need to make it a video call instead of a face to face lunch. It will still be great to catch up though. If you want to send them a special gift, consider ordering some fresh flowers online or even a special gift hamper – or both! Choose their favourite flowers, colours, or tasty treats that will make them smile!
