Celebrate your engagement with flowers

Getting engaged is one of the happiest days of your life. The excitement and joy is enough to last for days, weeks, or even months! This is why so many couples choose to host an Engagement Party to celebrate with their friends and family. This gives the couple a chance to tell the story about the proposal, show off the ring, and so on. Even though bachelor parties and similar ladies-only events are popular, more and more couples are opting for a joined affair instead. For such events, fresh flowers are excellent for decorating your party and setting the mood.

Planning an Engagement party is much like planning your wedding. Everyone you invite to your engagement party should also be on your wedding invite list which is why it’s so important to plan your guest list properly. Once you know how many people will attend, you can then plan your tables, seating, and décor.

Depending on the size of the event, you will need to order a flower arrangement for each table. If you are serving a buffet, you will need to decorate the buffet table. You will also need to brighten up areas like corners of the dining area. If you wish to enjoy dancing during the event, then make sure that you leave space for a dance floor and don’t crowd this area with flowers or other decorations.
The colours or flowers you choose need not match the theme or colours you will use for your wedding. In fact, it’s better to use different flowers and colours because you want the two events to be very different. While you will go all out for your wedding, you can take it down a notch with these arrangements and décor.

If you are not sure what types of flowers to choose, you can ask your florist to make professional suggestions. Some of the most popular flowers, depending on the season, include lilies, roses, tulips and flowers that resemble daisies. Colour schemes are also usually fairly neutral which means that white and beige flowers are popular. However, the colours also usually depend on the season.
