Hyundai Tucson tops in J.D. Power's 2016 APEAL Study

When looking for a new vehicle, one with a good track record should be something to consider. To take it a step further, one with a good track record and said to be the most appealing in its class would, and should, be the one to get. This is certainly the case for the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, which was recently named a J.D. Power 2016 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study winner in the ‘Small SUV’ segment.

Currently in its 21st year, J.D. Power’s APEAL Study studies a new car owner’s emotional attachment and excitement level to their new vehicle. 77 individual attributes are surveyed, from the sense of comfort behind the wheel to the thrill they get when hitting the gas pedal. The 2016 Hyundai Tucson scored favorably in such areas as fuel economy, storage, visibility, driving and entertainment…to name a few.

Scott Margason, director, product planning, Hyundai North America, said that, “We are thrilled with the recognition of Tucson in this year’s J.D. Power APEAL Study.” Margason added, “The new Tucson looks great, has two fuel efficient engines and a roomy interior that satisfies a wide range of SUV buyers. The team did a great job launching the all-new Tucson this year.”
