Eugene here, chiming in to share my experience that I had recently working with some different musical genres.   I was passing through Gaylord in February on the way up to a wedding gig.   As we frequently do, we stopped into that well known truck stop for a bite to eat.   We all like that place that has the massive gift shop.  You always come across the strangest things at these gift shops.  I don’t know what it is about the road that makes you buy nick knacks at these places, but they do.   These stops are responsible for bringing us such trendy things as the singing mounted fish fad….   While I was sitting in the restaurant sections looking over the menu I hear my name “Eugene, ….  Eugene Pallisco”.  I looked around, and I thought it was Keith or Paul trying to freak me out.  Then I heard it again, “Eugene Palliso?”  Yeah, I said.  “David Rohnson”, he replied.   Such a small world I have to say because I used to go to high school with this guy and play hard rock in the school gym! 

Well to make a long story short, (if there’s still time), we met up a couple of times with our instruments.  There we were, Eugene Pallisco and David Rohnson, old friends and old band mates.  We used to be in a hard rock  group back in the mid 80’s and since David went on to play very heavy rock n’ roll, he is now acclimated to and has perfected that heavy sound that bands are going for.  I have to say that I enjoyed jamming with him, and since we are old friends, we will probably jam a lot more.  I just need to remember to pack the ear plugs next time.  I forgot how hard that brand of music is on the ears.  Even when you try to play quietly, it still rocks the house.  We jammed about four times with his other buddy on bass guitar.   I did get the guys to play some smooth rock and jazz, but we did jam to the mighty hard rock of the 80’s.  Eugene out.
