On my journey this summer, I was in search of my soul, self-discovery, reviewing my past and thinking about love. Without a doubt, one memory that made me the happiest is my high school sweetheart who stands out the most. The time I reflected upon the most is when I was dating a certain someone in high school. He had geeky glasses or what my dad called them were birth control glasses. However, I thought he was exceptionally cute anyways despite the outward geeky appearance. He had dreamy eyes you could look into for hours and made your heart pitter patter by the end of a date.
Besides the super awesome limousine date, the countless drives in classic Chevy, out of any man, even throughout adulthood or have I ever dated in my life, he never ever treated me like a piece of meat! He respected me, treated me like a lady, pampered me, listened to me, comforted me provided support, always dependable and loved my flaws. Even though we parted ways when he attended college, I want to share with others about those fine qualities, the ones you want to look for in a spouse.
Ladies, do not ever settle on love if it comes your way. Please do not do ever do that with your decision making regarding your spouse. Make sure, before you walk down that aisle, this is “the one” and this one is your “soul mate.” Ask yourself, "How do you know he is the one?" I am going to share with you what I believe and this might not work for you.
