Confessions of a Librocubicularist

Books come in a variety of shapes, sizes and genres.  There are many Book styles available; such as, paperback, hardcover or Ebooks. However, I must share this secret obsession with you…did you know that I am a Librocubicularist? I am indeed a Librocubicularist and you are probably wondering what a Librocubicularist might be, right? The Urban Dictionary describes it as ‘ (n).  A person who reads in bed’ and pronounced lib-ro-kyoo-bi-kyoo-la-rist.

While my husband sleeps at night, I am up until 2 a.m. reading tons of eBooks from weddings, events, law to marketing books.  I read anywhere from 50 to 100 books a week or more. One of my favorite places to find eBooks would be on Pinterest.  I love Pinterest and you can find tons of free eBooks to read on their website.  If you need to find specific book genres, just type it in the search criteria and the results will produce an eBook for you.

There are some other excellent places I found eBooks at like Google eBookstore, Open Library, Google Play, Smashwords and Goodreads.  I just get excited writing about the tonight's finds, which are Smashwords and Goodreads!   For example, if you are planning a wedding, I found a couple wonderful books on Smashwords I will be downloading tonight and they are ‘Rings on a Shoestring’ and ‘Planning Your Wedding Flowers: Secrets and Tips for Budget Wedding Flowers.”

And do not forget your local library because there are Free eBooks and eMagazines available to read too.  Here are some places I have found Free articles or eMagazines.  The Flipboard App and website offers a variety of free articles and save to your personal magazine.  Another app to utilize would be Pocket. You can save directly from your browser or from apps like Twitter, Flipboard, Pulse and Zite into your Pocket.  The best part about Pocket would be that you do not need an internet connection to connect to read your saved articles or videos.

The Best eMagazines that are available to read Free and Paid Subscriptions would be Magzter, Joomag, Google Currents (Newsstand), Scribd and Issuu. With all these free resources for eBooks and eMagazines, I believe you will be set with reading material for a while.  As it has been said, "A Book is Gift You Can Open Again and Again."
