Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) proudly presents the Young@Part Collection, adaptations of classic musicals for Grades K-9 students. Through a series of workshops with industry professionals and actual kids, the Young@Part musicals are tailor-made for younger actors. Song keys are changed where needed, songs and scenes are edited for time and content, while keeping the spirit of the original Broadway show intact. There are great parts for girls, boys and can feature any size ensemble/chorus, who are featured throughout the show.

The Addams Family
This popular show features an original story based on the characters developed by Charles Addams – and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now Gomez Adams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

All Shook Up
This American jukebox musical features the songs of Elvis Presley – by way of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. This adaptation is a 70-minute revised edition of the Broadway musical for Young Actors and audiences. The story centers around a mysterious stranger who shows up in a small Midwestern town in the 1950s. Clad in a leather jacket and wielding a guitar, this stranger “shakes up” this small town. Mistaken identity, confusion and romance ensue through a hilarious story line with plenty of hip-swiveling! Some song keys have been adapted where needed for young voices, and songs and scenes have been edited for time and content while keeping the spirit of the original Broadway show intact. Dynamic leading roles and a principal ensemble/chorus featured throughout the show make this a great choice for casts of any size.

Curtains
Based on the book by Rupert Holmes, this dynamic murder-mystery musical has been adapted for young actors and audiences. It’s the brassy, bright and promising year of 1959 and Boston’s Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night performance of a new musical. When the leading lady mysteriously dies on stage, the entire cast and crew are suspects. Enter a local detective, who just happens to be a musical theater fan, and hilarity ensues! This adaptation features some Song Key Edits, adapted for younger voices where needed, and songs and scenes that have been edited for time and content while keeping the spirit of the Broadway show intact. There are memorable leading parts, and an outstanding ensemble/chorus is featured throughout the show, making this an ideal choice for casts of any size.

Monty Python’s Spamalot
A marvelous adaptation of the hilarious Broadway show, with a shortened format especially suited to young actors. The story centers around King Arthur and his search for the Holy Grail. After a rather silly bit of miscommunication leads them to Finland, our king and his ever-faithful squire Patsy search for knights to accompany him on his quest. After convincing the locals he is the king by conjuring the Lady of Lake, the first of his knights, Dennis, the hideous mud farmer, is transformed into Sir Galahad. The rest of the knights are found far and wide, and The Lady of the Lake and her Laker Girls send our stalwart band on their way. They meet up with an unforgettable slew of outrageously kooky characters, and musical hilarity ensues as Arthur and the Knights make their journey. This adaptation features some song key edits, changed for younger voices where needed, and songs and scenes that have been edited for time and content while keeping the spirit of the Broadway show intact.
