The ‘Score for the Future’ Outreach Committee has reached its decision on how to spend the charity fund. All of the money generated from our charitable flag football league will benefit the local March of Dimes chapter, an organization dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. By the conclusion of Friday’s championship game, we expect to have raised over $2000 for the March of Dimes.

How we’ll contribute is by building baskets to be given to the mothers of premature babies born in Orlando. This week, members of the outreach committee will be shopping for useful items any mother would need for her newborn.
However, during Friday’s championship game we’ll be accepting additional donations from employees who may want to personally contribute to the cause. We plan to donate several of these baskets to the March of Dimes during their annual March for Babies event at Lily Park in Maitland on April 25th, so any and all donations will be needed.
The championship game will be played on Friday, March 20th at 2:30 p.m. at the Smith Center, 1723 Bruton Blvd. As usual, Davrin and his team will be serving up a tasty spread of food, and we’ll also be hosting representatives of the March of Dimes.
