Use color-coded boxes

While labels are an important aspect of organized storage, they’re not always easy to see at a glance. To make things easier, dedicate a specific color to your holiday décor, such as red or green bins. That way, you’ll be able to reach for all of the holiday décor right away when the season rolls around, and it will even make moving easier if you do so in the future. Everything will also look a lot more organized.
Label and inventory everything
After color-coding your storage bins, the next step is to label them by number and inventory the items. Having an inventory of everything makes it easy for you to refer to the exact box you need if you’re looking for something specific, like the box of ornaments or a vintage family heirloom. You won’t have to go rummaging around for that specific piece of décor you need. As a bonus, everything will already be inventoried so when it comes time to move, you’re one step ahead.
Pack carefully
Holiday décor tends to include a lot of fragile and delicate items.
