For the next 3 years, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) released Canada immigration level targets. As per the plan, Canada would accept nearing to 1 million new immigrants before 2020.
Ahmed Hussen, minister for Canada Immigration stated the new normal would 300,000 it’s an overall immigration target for the year 2016 and 2017.
IRCC has made an announcement that for the year 2018, the target would be increased to 310,000 for all new immigrants to maple leaf nation.
For 2019, the target is expected to further increase to 330,000 and for 2020 it would be 340,000, hence nearing to 1 million new migrants would be entering the nation in these 3 years (2018 to 2020).
What is Stored for 2018?
The targets for the year 2018 would be similar to the one set in 2017, but there exists a difference, large number of newcomers would be arriving through federal economic streams managed through Express Entry(EE).The IRCC plans to accept more number of Canada PNP candidates in the year 2018 when compared to 2017.
