Best and Worst Performing Markets in San Diego County
San Diego County’s 10 highest and lowest appreciating communities based on monthly median price change. Oceanside and Rancho Santa Fe both made the Top Performing Markets list while Downtown San Diego and Mission Hills topped the Bottom Performing Markets in San Diego County for September 2019. If you frequent my San Diego Real Estate Blog Posts you’ll notice that these communities change from month to month and may end up on opposite charts from week to week. When real estate sales numbers are based on only 1 month of sales these numbers can vary greatly from month to month.

Monthly Percent Change - The percent changes provides a simple measure of change in median prices at the community level; it is useful tool for understanding the price changes of properties that have transacted. The monthly median price is based on the median price for all sales in the prior 12 months ending as of the report month. The percent change is based on the change in median price from the prior month’s median price.
These communities will change on a monthly basis due to many factors. Looking at longer time period valuations is also an important part of the equation.
