Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Condo Report for August 2018
Total Condo Sales in August
Condo sales in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach realized a 2% growth from the same period last year.
Annual Sales: Trends
This graph shows the trend for Gulf Coast Condo sales over the past 11 years. For 2017 sales increased by a total of 180 units which reveals a 11.2% increase. Over the last 5 years, there has been an average growth of 22.3%.
Median Sales Price
To find the median sales price you look at all of the sales prices in numerical order and pick the middle figure. You can see that prices have slightly dipped in August compared to the same time last year. The represents a 3.7% decrease in median sales prices.
Total Condos Listed
The total number of condos for sale at the beach decreased by 28 compared to August a year ago. This is an increase of 3.8%. The 5 year average represents a decrease of 24.8%.
Average Sales Price
The average sales price is represented by taking the sum of all prices and dividing it by the total number of units. There was an increase of 6.8% for the average sales price for condos on the Gulf Coast over last years totals in August. Covering the last 5 years, there’s an overall increase of 26.4%.
Days on the Market
Although prices have decreased slightly last month, the demand for beach condos in Alabama is still strong. For Days on the Market, there was a 16.2% decrease over the same time last year.
