Reality of Realme 2 Pro – honest review!

The much talked about smartphone Realme 2 Pro is itself a game changer in the Indian Mobile market. Everyone is talking about its pros and very few about the cons. While this is an exactly a review, I am just sharing my personal experience of buying it with my own money.

It’s been more than two weeks I am using this smartphone. 4GB /54GB Ice lake blue variant. I bought it from Flipkart ‘s Big Billion day sales with 10% cash back on HDFC card.

Hence, I think I should share my experience here. So let’s start with its amazing specifications.

Display & Design :

Oppo Realme 2 Pro comes with a 6.3″ 19.5:9 aspect ratio Full HD + Dewdrop display with corning gorilla glass protection. Which is itself the highlight of this phone.

Hardware Software:

It has a Snapdragon 660 AIE processor which is the USP of this phone. In terms of software, it comes with Android 8.1 Oreo covered by Oppo’s most criticized ColorsOS version 5.2.

Cameras:

It has a 16-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.7 aperture + 2-megapixel depth sensor with aperture f/2.4 and a 16-megapixel front camera with f2.0 aperture.

Some sample shots :

Front Camera:

Rear Camera :

Low light

RAM & Storage :

The Realme 2 Pro has 3 storage variant viz., 4GB/64GB priced at ₹13990, GB/64GB priced at ₹15990, and 8GB/128 GB priced at ₹17990/-

Battery :

It has a 3500 mah battery which lasts almost a day in moderate use. For charging it comes with a 5V, 2A adapter, and a micro USB cable. Which I think is the major negative side of this device.

My Experience:

I have unboxed it on 14th Oct and using it since then. One thing I can assure that when you carry it on a public place people around you, will definitely ask about it. And when they click selfies with it they got slightly disappointed.

It’s good in all aspects other than its Front camera and the ColorOS. Though the front camera has little bit improved after getting a few OTA updates. Good thing is that Realme CEO, Mr.Madhav Seth has promised to bring some serious changes regarding the camera and ColorOS.

Battery life is also good enough for moderate use. But not comparable to Redmi Note 5 Pro which I was using before switching to Realme2Pro.
