How does good weather affect our morale?

Ireland. It’s a very small rock we live on, in a very big ocean and as we all know, the Weather here truly lives up to the old adage ‘four seasons in one day’. But now and then, we do catch a break and we get a few glorious days of sunshine and warm weather. This is always welcome, and the changes it brings are quite remarkable.  In what is usually a fairly wet and dark country, it can be argued these sunny, warm days work wonders for you and your colleague’s Morale. Everyone gets a glimpse of a holiday they may have coming up and this alone can lift morale. Whilst looking out the window forlornly, you or somebody else around you will inevitably be heard to say ‘it’s a shame we have to be in here on a day like that’ but some sunshine, even viewed through a window, can lift the morale of employees and improve the mood all round. Days like that are treasured all round. We know it won’t be long before the clouds roll over again, and we’re back wishing the was a roof over the country. We should enjoy those sunny days whenever they do come around.
