In the past two years, employment in the Creative Industries has increased over 10% according to the Department for Culture Media and Sport’s ‘Creative Industries: Focus on Employment’ report. The report found that there were 1.71m jobs in the creative industries in 2013 which is a 10% increase since 2011. These figures represent 5.6% of the UK’s total jobs – which is an increase from 2011’s 5.2%. In comparison, job growth across all UK industries from 2011 to 2013 was only 2.4%.
