While looking up information for something else I came across some really interesting Welding informational sites.
http://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/ The great thing about this site, while it is obvious (and he states as much) that it’s something the welder put together himself, it’s chock full of useful information on different types of welding and even more interesting is the welding video’s that he posts frequently.
http://www.wcwelding.com/. They also have a frequently updated blog at http://www.wcwelding.com/welding-tips-blog.html, which covers a variety of subjects from high tech micro welding to the home D.I.Y. projects.
http://www.weldmyworld.com/blog/ has information about welding seminars and events, welding tips and while it seems more geared to the home project welder it does go into information and video examples for certifications.
http://www.welding.com/index.asp has a good list of relevant articles http://www.welding.com/technical_articles.asp as well as hosts a forum at http://www.welding.com/message_board.asp.
And some reference sites:
