It won’t take the eagle eyed amongst you to see my posts have been few and far between in recent weeks. There are a number of reasons for this, however, ultimately I have decided to take a bit of a break from posting to the blog – the cries of "noooooo" are only interrupted by the noise of a feather landing to the ground!
The reasons for my impending sabbatical are three fold. Firstly, I have been putting my Blogging effort into my other blog, Discuss HR; which I have to admit is decidedly better than this one, partially because I only post once every 9 weeks and more relevantly because I have a host of excellent writers contributing. It is an excellent blog about anything and everything to do with HR and recruitment, so I would really recommend you take a look. My last 2 posts for Discuss HR have been:
- The Future of Recruitment?
- Networking and Schmoozing
Secondly, my time at present is somewhat limited and I am finding it increasing difficult to write half decent blog posts. Thirdly and finally, I have been blogging for 3 years now and I feel I could do with a bit of a break to generate some new ideas. I have found on a few occasions recently I have started to write a blog post, in the little time I have, to only realise I have already written a similar post a year earlier. Therefore I feel a little time away will do be some good.
I shall post a final Diary of a Jobseeker post once my future is resolved in the next few weeks. Whilst I am sure you are all riveted by my personal life, the purpose of this will be to act as a summary for you in your own job search.
I’m not sure when I will be back, but I will endeavour to do so before the year is out.
I’ll be back…
