Black Friday

Ahhh, So the day is upon us! The day filled with great deals, large crowds, and adults that act like children! So did I stay up late last night for midnight madness at any of the stores or crawl out of bed at the crack of dawn for unbelievable discounts, No!

After eating a delicious meal, cleaning up, and spending some wonderful time chatting with family I settled in to my chair to look through the ads for black friday! Ad after Ad showed deal after deal but nothing good enough to get me out of the house at an ungodly hour! One ad did catch my eye and stick in my head through the night, Kohls. They just had the best prices for what I was looking for in comparison to everyone else, and it helped that I had a 15% discount card in my wallet that was good for black friday! Still after hosting thanksgiving, and struggling through the day with a sinus migraine that lasted well into the early morning hours it just wasn't enough to get me out there at the crack of dawn.

So after rising comfortably at 9am, having a yummy warm breakfast, I decided to give it a try! I had nothing better to do so I decided to take a trip over to kohls to see if what I had my eye on was still there. They were advertising $130 reversible down comforters for $30 in 4 different colors. I already owned one in a red/khaki that I purchased on sale for $70 bucks a few years ago and we love it!

As I pulled in to a nearly full parking lot at Kohls I thought for sure I wasn't going to get what I was looking for but I parked and braved the cold winds and crowds to see if I could find what I was looking for! My eyes about popped out of my head as we headed in the store and back to the bedding and saw that the check-out lines were lined up nearly around the store! As we neared the bedding section we found the boxes that housed the comforters we were looking for and luckily inside was one king comforter for my mom in the blue she was looking for and a chocolate Queen size for my sister and a light green Queen size for me! All for $30 bucks a piece! My mother and I snatched these up and continued around the store finding pillows marked down to $3.99 so we each grabbed one. We quickly found Queen and Kind size sheets normaly $80 on sale for $14.99, couldn't pass that up! Three comforters, two pillows, and two sets of sheets meant our arms were too full to continue on so we headed to the front of the store to find a cart. We got a cart to hold all of our things and went to find the end of the check-out line!

While waiting in line we each found a few extra deals to add to our cart, funny how that happens when standing in long lines! All-in-all stopping at kohls turned out to be worth the money I walked out spending only $63 and according to my receipt saved $193! Gotta love deals like that and I didn't have to stay up late, crawl out of bed at the crack of dawn, or battle the really heavy crowds! Turned out to be a really good Black Friday!
