Results of the 2017-18 Global Recruiting Site Trends survey are here!

The results are in from the latest edition of the Global Recruiting Site trends survey! This year we had – as always – great response from recruiting sites, job boards, and other recruitment marketing services from around the world. I’m proud to say that this is the 7th year we’ve conducted this landmark study of the recruitment marketing industry – and we owe a special thanks to our sponsor, Jobg8. They helped immeasurably in getting the word out to recruiting sites everywhere.

As always, you can download the research at no charge (a free registration is required, as is Adobe Reader or other PDF reader). You’ll also find past years’ results, as well as surveys on job seeker behavior, ATS usage, and much more. Here are a few key findings from this year’s survey:

  • Key perceived threats across all respondents: Indeed (24%); Google Jobs initiative (19%); and niche job board competitors (19%)
  • 48% say that their job postings are already compliant with the Google jobs markup schema
  • 37% of respondents are planning to add new products and services in the next 12 months
  • The primary criteria for client renewal continues to be quality of applicants (76%)

For the first time, we are also including selected cross-tabs of the data to provide better insight into the similarities and difference between niche job boards and general job boards, and between sites of varying revenue levels. I think you’ll find them interesting and useful.

If you have suggestions for next year’s survey – or an idea for a new survey – just let me know. Providing in-depth research for the industry is important for JobBoardDoctor – and I’m always open to new directions in this research.

But first of all, download the results!
