Top tips on inspiring your staff, daily.

Find Inspiration anywhere

The internet is full of #MondayMotivation sayings and quotes every week. But, who even said everyone needs motivating on a Monday? When you love your job, you’re consistently motivated to do great work, however, sometimes you need an inspiration boost. We have put together some ideas that will help you and your Staff stay inspired throughout the week.

The Inspiration Tips

  1.  Create a pleasant working environment

Sometimes you don’t have a choice on your office space, but that doesn’t mean you can’t create a nice working atmosphere. If your office permits it, why not create an office playlist? Having music in the background throughout the day can increase productivity and help motivate your staff.

  1.  Help them with their self development

People like to progress in their job, whether that is by having a promotion or just by taking on more responsibility. Help them in creating a ‘progression plan’’ and how they can achieve their goals whilst they are working at your business. This will make your employees aware that you’re interested in their development and boost their confidence.

  1. Limit the amount of meetings you have

If the meeting isn’t completely necessary, maybe reconsider having them. Taking someone away from their work when they’re trying to concentrate can start to become frustrating, especially if they have a deadline. If the meeting is needed, try and keep it short, sweet and to the point so that everyone stays engaged.

  1. Everyone has the ability to be creative

Everyone can be Creative, even if they say they can’t be. No matter what sector you work in, there is room to be creative. Supervising someone doesn’t mean micro-managing, so give your staff the freedom to be creative and you will see a difference in their inspiration.

  1. Manage your staff individually

No one is the same. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, so it’s important to understand where their strengths lie to help maximise productivity and increase their motivation. When you provide an opportunity for your staff to excel in their strength you will notice a change in productivity.

  1. Don’t let a success go ignored

Your staff will soon notice when they feel under appreciated and this is one of the biggest reasons why employees become less motivated in their job. Successes can be big or small, but making the time to recognise them will make a big difference to your staff.

  1. No one likes a routine

If you really want to inspire your staff then you will try and avoid creating a routine. A routine can become tired, and in the process make the employee feel like they aren’t achieving anything.

The next steps

With these tips you should be able to formulate a plan that will work for you and your team to become more inspired. Managing a team can be difficult at times, but when everyone is feeling positive and motivated it becomes a lot easier. Don’t give up on the daily inspiration.
