First Lesson... Overall 6 Sigma Online Strategy

What we're going to do is fine tune your internet marketing process by following the "general" 6 Sigma guidelines. We're not going to get too in depth with the six sigma process because it's actually a very complicated subject and this blog is about how to make more money... not become a six sigma blackbelt. But a very general application of the 6 sigma philosophy will serve us very well in improving our online marketing.

Generally speaking 6 sigma can be broken down into DMAIC

D=Define
M=Measure
A=Analyze
I=Improve
C=Control

Basically, we're going to break down everything we do as online marketers and work on incremental improvement.

Let's break down online marketing into smaller subcategories and then focus on improving each small subcategory.

1. Acquiring Traffic
2. Conversion
3. Website Stickiness
4. List building
5. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
6. Relationship Building
7. That should keep us busy for a while...


Next update we'll dig in to the first one, Acquiring Traffic because without traffic you'll never have a chance to get to the others. In the mean time begin to evaluate the established processes that you have in place for acquiring traffic so that we can begin to improve on it.
