The Florida A&M University volleyball team won the 2018 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Southern Division title with a triumph over Savannah State on Friday.

FAMU’s netters took the conference crown in three tough sets, 25-21, 25-16 and 25-10.

Junior Maria Yvett Garcia led FAMU with 12 kills, followed by Nair Canessa with seven, Radka Dimitrova with six, and Karina Pressoir and Aybuke Kocabiyik with four kills apiece.

Elena Dimitrova had 25 assists, while Jessa Long (14) and Valentina Carrasco (10) led in digs.
