The Trademark Registry in its circular dated 6th March 2017, has introduced the New Trademark Rules and has increased the Trademark Fees more than Double from Rs. 4,000/- to Rs. 9,000/- with effect from 6th March 2017.
But there is still a chance, to promote small businesses the Trademark Registry has increased the Trademark Fees from Rs. 4,000/- to Rs. 4,500/- only for applicants who are Individuals / Proprietors / Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Companies or Firms.
As per our sources this will also be soon increased to Rs. 9,000/- and hence we request everyone to consider this opportunity and apply for Trademark Registrations as soon as possible.
In order to fall under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Category the MSME Development Act 2006, has laid down certain guidelines.
As per the MSME Development Act 2006, any company/firm of the below category should have investment in Plant & Machinery below the specified limit to be able to avail the advantage of a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (Small Enterprise).

Goods & Product Based (Trademark Class 1 to 34) | Upto Rs. 10 Crores |
Service Based (Trademark Class 35 to 45) | Upto Rs. 5 Crores |
