Living For The Moment V.S Future

Tags: living

Living in the moment can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time depending on if we are what I like to call “planners or whatever’s”. Planners are people who plan out every aspect of their lives and sometimes over analyze certain situations, because they want everything to go as planned. On the other hand, whatever’s just go with the flow not really worrying about the future just focusing on each day that’s ahead of them. Both can be problematic if you are too much of either one that’s why it’s always great to have a balance between the two.

Living in The Moment

When it comes to living life in the moment it can be viewed as an excellent time in our lives, because we’re enjoying the present. This can be amazing, because as many of us know we can get bogged down by focusing too much on the future. Therefore, losing appreciation for the present stage we’re in instead of enjoying life as it is today. Often times when we are living in the present our life can be more enjoyable and electrifying. Living in the moment can also give us experiences that we might not have if we thought it through rather than just going with the flow.

Living for the Future

Focusing on our future can be a significant factor that contributes to our life’s trajectory towards success. Without having a plan some would say “your life will be in shambles” or “without a plan how can you have a future”. In many cases this is true without having a plan or goal we can become  stagnant or what I like to call “lost in the sauce”. This happens when we’re just living life in the moment without any plans.

Planning V.S Living for the Day

It can be tricky when comparing planning and living for the present, because both are important to living a successful and fruitful life. On one hand having a plan is contingent on what we want to accomplish. When it comes to dreams and aspirations it is imperative that we have a detailed plan to help us get from one stage to another. However, being overly focused on the future can prevent us from truly appreciating our present.

Final Thoughts

Regardless of whether we are focused on our future or not. In the end our future is always around us  i.e. what will we do for money, where will we live, what career path are we on. I would love to hear your thoughts are you planner or do you just live life in the moment? Comment below &if you liked this post please share!
