A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a teenager from Naperville, Illinois, allegedly hit her as she was traveling through an intersection.

Prosecutors accused the 17-year-old boy of having methamphetamine in his body when the Accident occurred. He was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI resulting in death.

Police said the teen was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn. He allegedly turned left in his 2011 Acura MDX and struck Calabria Taber’s Motorcycle.

Taber was hospitalized but pronounced dead the next day. The teen boy was not hurt in the crash. He posted a $5,000 bail and was released the day after his arrest.

The teen’s attorney claimed that witness accounts and video footage indicated the boy had maintained control of his vehicle. He argued that Taber was spotted entering the intersection on her motorcycle at high speed.
