The Week in Tech – Elon Musk Blasts His Car Off Into Space, and Google Might Be Getting Into Gaming

There’s a ton of tech news to get to! Maybe you didn’t get to it all, because who’s got time for that? Well, that’d be us — here are a handful of stories from the week that was that might affect you!

Google might be getting into gaming with their rumored Yeti service

A comprehensive streaming video game service has never really become reality — they’ve always been too laggy to replace running games locally. But, Sony’s made some nice progress with PlayStation Now in recent years, making us wonder if network speeds are finally fast enough to make it work. Apparently, Google’s been wondering, too — according to a report from The Information, Google is working on a video game service code named Yeti. Yeti would be a subscription-based streaming service for video games, which the report says could be used with a Chromecast or with a video game console Google may develop in tandem with the service. Nothing official from Google yet, though, so we’ll have to keep watching for more.
