Regular or distance learning??

Before you zeroed in on a college for admission in any college make sure the degree which they provide is regular or distance learning. There have been many instances of cheating in this regard. There are many college, set up for monetary purpose, who provide distance learning degree in the name of regular. Usually these colleges  have low-class and inexperienced faculty and a rented building in which students attend their classes regularly ( usually 5-6 days a week) which gives the impression that the degree is regular but that is not.
'Reading regularly in a building doesn't convert your  distance-learning degree into a regular one.They may also try to convince you by saying that they have applied for the affiliation and they may show you a proof for that but don't buy that reason as their application may or may not be approved. Be extra cautious if the colleges  are in their first year of operation. Always check with websites of AICTE, UGC and other statutory(legal) bodies.Make few phone calls, search the website thoroughly and if necessary, ask knowledgeable person in this field , ask for the confirmation from the concerned institute/college/school in writing (email/snail mail).It worth to work out these details before your admission rather than repenting mid-session-when you can't go back. "Remember prevention is better than cure".
