Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervision of preparation of U.S., multi-state, and Canadian tax compliance, Including timely and accurately filing of Income Tax returns. Various returns including real estate partnerships, S-Corps, foundations, trusts, individuals and various Canadian entities
- Help coordinate gathering information from various Accounting groups to prepare Tax Returns, tax extensions, and projections
- Research various tax issues, including analysis of new tax laws, proposed legislation, multi-state apportionment rules, and state nonresident withholding rules
- Supervise and/or prepare projected taxable income and estimated Canadian, federal, and multi-state payments
- Coordinate gathering of information and respond to government audits and inquiries
- Supervise nonresident state withholding tax
- Analyze, reconcile and monitor income tax accounts to ensure accounts are properly stated on the general ledger
- Reviewing of accounting and financial statements for family related entities
- Tax planning for individuals and new business entities.
- Accumulation of requested information and review of proposed audit adjustments by IRS and state and local taxing authorities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related, CPA License preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with Big 4 or regional public accounting firm
- Strong computer skills (Excel and Word) and experience with tax preparation and research programs (i.e., Prosystems, CCH)
- Strong research, including written documentation skills
Salary: 90,000 – 110,000
