I know I am asking for help in buying a House so that we can get out of Debt. We are working on getting out of debt so that if we do buy a house, our creditors cannot come after our assets, which they can do if we don’t pay. I already have one such student loan company coming after me because I can’t afford to pay the $1000 I’m behind on. They will no doubt go after our taxes. We haven’t made enough this year to get a lot back, but if we have enough money, then I don’t care if they collect that way. We’d have the money to give to them. I tried to get a deferment from this company but it was one of those private student loans and they don’t work like federal student loans. I walked right into the door of a predatory lending company. They don’t care that we’re poor and living below the poverty level. They want their money and trust me, I want to give it to them. But I understand that we should be working with our creditors to fix our debt as we try to collect donations for a house.

So please, still donate as we work with our creditors to clean up our credit. Having our own house, however, and not paying the $1350 rent will help us pay off our debt faster.
