While it’s true that you can create the blog and just start blogging, depending on what the goals of your blog are, that might not be the best route. There’s so much information available, see for example the suggestions from Google in the  Google Search on the image on the right.  The trick is sorting the wheat from the chaff or the men from the boys; pick your metaphor.

My goals were to create a blog in support of a business and I checked out a lot or resources; I particularly liked the http://themarketingmouse.com/ the information is great there, though I hope the author won’t mind if I say the two right columns are a little hard on the eye, but this blogger knows his stuff.

Anyway, starting from nothing doesn’t have to be daunting.  You just have to know what you want to do. The chances are there is a way to do it. Lovely in the blog world is that amateurism is just a question of degree. There’s someone out there who knows less than me.
