4/5 rounds at Google Onsite went really well. I felt good about the solutions I gave and the discussion points that we had. However, I had a really bad round. Part of it was the way the interviewer conducted himself (staring out the window, not taking notes, no laptop) and part of it was the way I communicated my solution wasn’t clear even though it ended up being correct in the end. I spent a lot longer than I needed explaining where I was headed and didn’t get to finish the actual implementation. My question is if this really poor round will carry a heavier weight than the others. If I get 4 hires and a strong no hire, I’m guessing that’s not going to HC. Thoughts?
