Better Email Opens with “Broadcast Resend”

What I would like to talk about today is one of my favorite topics, The Email Open Rate.

People are always asking, “How do I get my open rate higher?”, “What can I do to improve my open rate?” and I talk about the fact that, you need to be split-testing, all the time.

Remember, there are a few constants in your emailing; one of the constants is going to be, who you are emailing from. Maybe, that’s something that you need to split-test. Instead of always sending from the same profile, maybe you need to develop multiple different profiles and see which one is the most responsive.

I mean maybe, if you put your name first and your domain second that might be better, maybe just your name so it appears less commercial.  There is all these different combinations that can help get your open rate up.

The next thing that you need to split-test is your subject line. People will respond to different topics so when you want to get your open rate up, you have to have the right subject line.

The other thing is you have to be persistent. You may have an open rate that is at a level point, maybe it’s going up, maybe it’s going down.  But you have to keep split testing every single time and keep in mind that people are going to respond to different things for different reasons.
