Nature of Call-For-Service:  Off Duty Officer Reports Accidental Wounding

Location:  6100 Block of N. 46th Street McAllen, Texas.

On July 20, 2018 at approximately 8:55 pm the department received report from off duty officer suffering an accidental gunshot wound at residence. The off duty officer was taken to area hospital and is receiving emergency medical care.

Preliminary condition report is that officer was stabilized. Officer was pregnant and pregnancy in jeopardy a result of shooting incident. Shooting incident is under criminal investigation.
