Fluorescence detection test

The Fluorescence Detection method has wide applicability and is mainly used for materials that cannot be inspected by the magnetic powder method, such as stainless steel, copper, aluminum and non-metal materials. The formulation of the fluorescent liquid can be considered according to the requirements of the technical conditions and the economical effects.

The fluorescent solution was prepared using a mixture of 0.25 L of transformer oil and 0.5 L of kerosene, and 0.25 L of gasoline, followed by 0.25 g of a golden green dye.

When developing the image, apply a layer of magnesium oxide powder on the surface of the part for good absorption.

Fluorescence detection test procedure is:

  • It is necessary to remove oil stains and rust spots on the surface of the part, and wash and dry at a water temperature of 20 to 40 ° C. The water is evaporated to facilitate penetration.
  • When infiltrated, small parts can be immersed in the fluorescent liquid for 10 to 20 minutes, large parts can be coated with a brush, and then the permeate is drained.
  • During the development process, a layer of magnesium oxide (dry powder) imaging powder is applied on the surface of the part, which has good absorption properties, so that the penetrant immersed in the crack can be adsorbed out and diffused to a certain width to amplify the crack. . After the powder is covered for 10 to 15 minutes, the excess powder is blown off with air.
  • When ultraviolet light is irradiated, the surface of the part is irradiated with an ultraviolet lamp, and the position and shape of the defect can be clearly displayed, and fine flaws can be observed with the naked eye.
