2017 Dine Out for Life Saint Louis

Dine Out for Life, St. Louis, MO

50+ STL Restaurants Participating in AIDS Fundraiser

St. Louis, MO/March 20, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) — Enjoy a great meal on Thursday, April 27th and support an important cause in your community.  Dine Out for Life is a win-win proposition for hungry St. Louisans.  Each year, since 1993, local restaurants have given away at least 25-percent of their day’s receipts to benefit those living with HIV/AIDS in the St. Louis community.  St. Louis is one of more than 50 communities in the US and Canada participating.  This year 58 restaurants have signed up to participate so far.  Nine are donating 50-percent of each customer’s check to benefit St. Louis Effort for AIDS.  The local non-profit provides education on the prevention of HIV/AIDS and comprehensive support services for those affected by the disease.

Here’s an interactive list of participating restaurants that lets your sort by region, cuisine, or meal and then stack by donation amount or alphabetically.  The list includes great breakfast destinations like the Bike Stop Cafe in St. Charles, MoKaBe’s Coffee House, and both Rooster restaurant locations (downtown and South Grand).  There are dozens of choices for lunch, including burger joints, craft breweries, Mexican restaurants, Asian eateries, German beer gardens, brew pubs, BBQ, and more.  Dinner adds upscale dining options, along with steak houses, tapas, Italian cuisine, taverns, pizzerias, and more.

Even your dog can get in on the giving! Stop into Four Muddy Paws at 1711 Park Ave. in Lafayette Square and pick up a treat for your furry pal, and they’ll donate 25-percent of the tab!  Maplewood’s Airedale Antics (7316 Manchester Road) is also donating 25-percent of all food sales that day.

Last year alone, 3,197 restaurants participated in Dine Out for Life Events in the US and Canada, raising $4.19 million for 54 licensed charitable organizations.  In 2016 the St. Louis community raised over $151,000.  One of the truly unique aspects of this annual fundraiser is the emphasis on helping the local community.  All of the funds are raised locally and all of the funds stay local.  April 27th is St. Louis’ chance to grab a great meal, snack, coffee, or cocktail and help our neighbors too.
