flowing easily isn't so simple
always comes with a price
remember: we broke our bones,
loosened the twine of our sinews
so that we could move
like Harlem smoke visions
brothers slipping through brick walls,
swimming through chain link fences
like it's nothing
the flow is everything
boiled down
stirred with a tin spoon
until our words don't move
but glide across, through,
and between dreams
hitting wind chimes
kissing ohm bells
in the now
our words don't move
they bend their backs
becoming curves
then waves of sound
washing up on nirvana
in the now
we may flow easily
but it isn't so simple.
