FBS Looking Toward 2017

Free Black Space will end 2016 with close to 120k in hits. At the end of 2015 we were close to fifty k. Our upward trend continues.

We understand how small and insignificant 120k in hits are in a world where many sites do millions of hits a day, and black writers receive awards that may be hundreds of thousands of dollars. The black has always been judged as insignificant. Ours is a small place, like the overall trajectory of black writers in the empire. Our approach is sound. Our finances are low.

But our clarity about the empires of ideas speaks to a previous generation's movement forward in creating institutions in the face of a spinning world that has systematically leveraged the black into a small and seemingly insignificant position.

The question is one of leverage. We imagine that we are weak and powerless and must be a part of someone else's plan to achieve even minimal success. We are playing the game, which is a good thing. Play is at the heart of it. One learns energy and explores the basics towards a mystical transcendent unity via the game.

Playah. Playah.

But the limit in the game most of us play is our imagination that suggests we are limited by the negative construct the empire creates. We break that mold rather easily now, but in small numbers and without institutions.

We are funded individually. In spite of our resignation as the best paid generation of black writers, this generation is less likely to leave institutions to our Egun.

Free Black Spaces's current pace should double the current results in 2017 and move towards a website buildout.

We need more authors, capital, and partnerships with organizations that can further and distribute our concept.

Our approach is rather simple: to distribute records of black intellectual production that speak to the black audience, document our conversations in Free Black Space, and stretch beyond the white imagination's limit of the transcendent maintained by the binary.

If that's hard to understand, please continue to read.
