I awoke to the sounds of someone in my room. Startled, I sat upright in bed. Two thoughts came to me at once. I was naked and there were two men in my room. Then the fog of sleep cleared and I remembered what happened. The entire night, every carnal action, every bit of pleasure came rushing back.

They both turned to look at me, grinned. Pulling up the edge of the sheet, I covered myself.

“Don’t be shy now, sweetheart,” Landon said. He was fully dressed, and Seth was tucking in his shirt.

I ran my hand over my face, pushed my hair back. “Sorry. I’m not used to this.”

“I should hope not,” Seth said, coming around the bed to give me a quick kiss on the cheek. “Nothing more than that…for now.” He winked. “We have to get going.”

I gasped, remembering what I was to do today. The robbery. Hastily, I slid from the bed, grabbed my shift from the floor, pulled it over my head. I felt their gazes on me, knew they were seeing my every move. I was a little embarrassed, even after what we’d done together, but I was in a hurry. “Yes, I am to meet my friend.”

“Of course,” Landon said. He retrieved a gun from the dresser. I stared at it, panicked he’d discovered my weapon. “You’ll do that, just as we have our meeting about our next job, but we all have a stop to make first.”

I watched as he put on his Gun Belt, tucked the gun into the holster slung low on his right hip.

“Stop?” I asked, licking my lips, my eyes focused squarely on the gun. Why did he need a gun? He hadn’t been wearing it the day before.

Seth went to a leather bag in the corner, pulled out a gun belt of his own.

“With the sheriff.”

Oh god, they knew. They’d fucked me all night long and somehow they knew I was a bank robber. No. They couldn’t know. How could they? They were just…men.

“Sheriff?” I parroted, then pointed to Landon’s gun. “Why do you need guns? What is it that you do?”

“We’re US Marshals,” Seth said absently, settling the gun belt properly on his hips. “We need to stop and see the sheriff or the nearest minister.”

I stilled. Oh god. I always knew being arrested was a possibility, but I never imagined that happening while in just my shift. “US Marshals? Minister?”

What had I done? I’d slept with two lawmen who wanted to take me to the sheriff. Yes, they had to know what I’d done. Who I was.

Landon grinned. “We’re marrying you, sweetheart.”

I was a mixture of petrified and angry at the same time. So much so that I didn’t process what Landon had said. “How dare you!” I said, spinning on my heel and grabbing the pins from the bedside table.
