Ruby's Worry.

My personal take on the book:
We worry constantly and our kids inadvertently do the same, it may be silly to us but to them it's something.  It just shows that we are all human. They are of course little mini humans full of questions and emotions. When I read this book I quite enjoyed it. It covered a topic that we sometimes easily miss when it comes to our kids.

What the book is about:
The narrative story is quite interesting in how Ruby can see her own worry and no one else can. The more Ruby ignores her worry the more it grows. This story reminded me how it is important to talk to our kids. We can't always assume everything is rosy, and that  they are happy. Building a good relationship with them where they can talk to us freely is important and healthy.

What I like:
I like the fact that Ruby helps another person besides  herself in talking about their problems and cheers them up. Talking is essential  and important and it helped the little boy and Ruby cope with their worry somehow. Somehow I wish Ruby's parents should have noticed her worry, but it just shows the reality of such situations where we as  parents can miss these fundamental worry signs.

Words to describe this book:
Interesting, fantastic colourful illustrations, sad and sombre mood only on some parts where Ruby is feeling worried.

 My opinion on the book:
I loved reading this book with my son, After reading this book my son and I understood the importance of talking and not keeping any worry inside. It's an interesting book that opens dialogue between parents and their children over issues like worrying. Which parent doesn't want to see their child being a happy child. Overall I would recommend this book  to anyone wanting a different genre in reading collection. It's worth reading to your child.
