Royals (Royals #1)-Book Review

Tags: book daisy story

Meet Daisy Winters. She’s an offbeat sixteen-year-old Floridian with mermaid-red hair; a part time job at a bootleg Walmart, and a perfect older sister who’s nearly engaged to the Crown Prince of Scotland. Daisy has no desire to live in the spotlight, but relentless tabloid attention forces her to join Ellie at the relative seclusion of the castle across the pond.

While the dashing young Miles has been appointed to teach Daisy the ropes of being regal, the prince’s roguish younger brother kicks up scandal wherever he goes, and tries his best to take Daisy along for the ride. The crown–and the intriguing Miles–might be trying to make Daisy into a lady . . . but Daisy may just rewrite the royal rulebook to suit herself.

MY THOUGHTS

If I have to define this book in one word it would be a cliché and the bigger cliché is that when author make MC mention it to the readers that she knows her story is a cliché. I think I should stop now you get it what I am saying.

Everything about this story is predicted, the main MC could be not that predicted if it wasn’t written in the title of the book. In short, this book is the amalgam of all the movies I watched about princess and royalty + some Scottish background.

I do enjoy royalty and princess oriented books when they got some unique plot and story.

I enjoyed this book, it was a quick and light summer read, but don’t expect much from it.

90% of the characters were so annoying. Daisy and her father, they were trying to be funny instead they end up being acting stupid and I was feeling guilty for their forced sense of humour, the side characters were too much, It is one of my peeves when author throw too many characters in story and even named them when in reality they don’t get any attention…It is so pitying when authors do this Just sake of diversity.

I was just hoping that the maybe ending will be a different but No if a story is a cliché how the ending can’t be?

Tip: And yes author is so obsessed with Kilts when you read it just keep it in your mind.
