The book is jam-packed with lots of information about nature and survival. Surviving Horse Island (Kids vs. Nature Book 3) was a very enjoyable read not only for my grand kids, but also for me! Author Karl Steam writes in a wonderful style that will guarantee the attention of young minds. I also thought the text and illustrations (by Joshua Lagman) worked very well together.
