My god-daughter, Merin, is a pro at making homemade slime! Last night, she made three different recipes for slime. Here is one of the slime recipes that we videotaped her making.

Make your own homemade slime by following Merin’s directions. We’ve listed the instructions, supplies and ingredients needed for your homemade slime recipe below.

Homemade Slime Ingredients

• Liquid Laundry Detergent (Merin prefers Era Laundry Detergent)
• Contact Solution (can be expired)
• Baking Soda
• Glue
• Food Coloring (optional)
• Hot Water

Slime Supplies Needed

• Bowl
• Something to stir with (Merin uses a plastic knife)
• Spoon for baking soda

Slime Recipe Instructions

1. Put some glue in the bowl.
2. Mix 1/2 spoonful baking soda with some hot water. Stir until dissolved.
3. Add some laundry detergent to the glue. Mix together.
4. Add a little of the water/baking soda to the mixture.
5. Add some contact solution.
6. Add a tad more laundry detergent until not sticky.
7. Mix until it starts to come off the sides of the bowl.
8. Knead with fingers.
9. Add food coloring if desired by folding the color in.
10. Have fun playing with your homemade slime!
