this was definitely not long-awaited by anyone but me

but here are some new songs that I’m listening to!

definitely very different than stuff I’ve posted in the past but u should check it out anyway bc these songs are lit as fuck

conveniently for y’all, I made a playlist on spotify of my recent jams (and if you don’t have spotify wow you’re missing out it’s honestly the best thing ever I’ve been using it for 5 years 10/10 would recommend, I’ve gotten several of my friends to get spotify)

for now, the name is TBD because I don’t have the capacity to think up a name that encompasses all of these songs but u should def check it out

the vibes for this are definitely a little more gritty than the stuff I’ve posted about in the past

here is my evaluation of all 18 songs, from most to least agreeable in terms of genre:

• tiki party, my head hurts, the sun, apple cider I don’t mind, summer’s colour, and miles and interstates are all more upbeat & feature the guitar
• the 2 pinegrove songs (aphasia and cadmium) are kinda folky (and fun fact- pinegrove is from NJ, my home state!)
• everything is fine, why do I wait, you know I should be leaving soon, long way down, I’ve been doing well, and honestly? are more mellow, moody songs. fun fact I found the song why do I wait on a playlist that my ex bf made as a subtweet @ me & honestly it’s damn good
• the king krule song (a lizard state) I honestly couldn’t put into a music category, he has a very specific voice and sound and a lizard state is my favorite song by him. I might have put it on a playlist in the past that I posted & it may sound weird at first but it really grew on me over time
• slug christ and ghostemane are like mumble & experimental rap that I enjoy very much but are definitely not for everyone. they’re kind of spooky-sounding and slug christ’s music can be abrasive to some but I vibe w it
